Circa Sports joined the mix in Kentucky on Tuesday, going live with its mobile app. Circa Sports has partnered with ECL Corbin, LLC’s Cumberland Run harness track to become the eighth sportsbook in the state to accept wagers. In addition to Circa Sports KY online betting, the sportsbook also accepts wagers in Nevada, Colorado, Illinois and Iowa.
The Nevada location is home to the famous Circa Sports football contests. Those bring a bit of name recognition and publicity to Circa Sports, which is never a bad thing.
Circa Sports has a solid reputation, but is going up against the giant sports online betting sites. There is no thing as too many sportsbooks for bettors, so the gambling news is good that Kentucky bettors have another option to choose from.
“We’re delighted to welcome Circa Sports to the Commonwealth as a sports-betting partner,” Marc Falcone, co-owner of the ECL Corbin, said in a statement. “They allow us to offer another amenity to complement our existing gaming.”
The legal betting age in Kentucky is 18, although several of the popular online betting sites do not allow anyone under 21 to bet. They are one of the sportsbooks that will open new accounts from 18 year olds.

Circa Known For High Limits, Fair Prices
They are known for their high betting limits and decent moneyline odds. That will help carve out a market in a crowded field. DraftKings and FanDuel have a significant presence in Kentucky.
There is also ESPN Bet, Fanatics, BetMGM, Caesar’s and bet365. All of the giants in the sportsbook industry are present in the Bluegrass State.
Going live with the Circa Sports KY online betting app now is a smart move. Circa offers better baseball odds than many sportsbooks. With little but baseball to bet on in June and July, Circa could attract some new customers.
The May start also gives people a few months to see consistent ads for the upcoming football contests. Expect Circa to do plenty of promotions for the football contests and its Las Vegas casino.
The online gambling sites don’t have to be extremely profitable if they’re bringing guests to the casino. That’s one advantage Circa has that many other online sportsbooks don’t have.
Circa Sports is advertising its app will have the highest betting limits in the business. The smaller bettor isn’t excluded, however, as new accounts can be funded with as little as $20.
Cumberland Run also partners with DraftKings, but will have a tough time matching it in betting handle. DraftKings reported handle of $79.2 million in February. The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission lags behind other states in terms of releasing monthly sports betting numbers.
